Despite carefully following our tutorial, some errors may prevent the update from completing. Please check the following points.
1 – First of all, use a Windows PC and not a Mac.
The macOS system tends to add hidden files that can interfere with the USB drive.
2 – The USB drive must be empty and formatted in FAT32
Format it before use and make sure it contains no files other than those for the update.
Make sure the USB drive is properly formatted in FAT32 or exFAT.

👉 FAT32 required for PREMIUM, MOVE, MOTION, ROUTE, EVO 4 maps
👉 exFAT accepted for EVO 5/6, WAY, LIVE maps

To check the drive format, right-click on it and select Properties.

3 – Extract the files using WinRAR.
The Windows extraction tool may generate errors or incomplete extractions without warning. Please use WinRAR (link in our tutorial) for better reliability.

4 – Copy only the contents of the archive to the root of the USB drive.

5 – The USB drive must not contain any other files or folders unrelated to the update.

6 – For updates requiring the addition of an FSC file, the folder must be named “FSC” and not otherwise, and the .fsc file must be placed inside it.

⚠️⚠️⚠️ Mac users!
macOS systems add hidden files (such as .DS_Store or Spotlight indexes) to USB drives, which can prevent updates from working properly. We therefore strongly recommend using Windows whenever possible. If this is not an option, after copying the files, you must use a utility such as CleanUSBDrive or Hidden File Cleaner (for older versions of macOS) to remove these hidden files from the USB drive.

If you still encounter an issue, feel free to contact our support with a photo of your USB drive contents.
