After ordering your FSC code on our site, you will receive by email this code along with the link to the latest version of maps available for your vehicle and a quick installation procedure which is as follows.
Depending on your vehicle model, you will receive an activation code to manually enter into your vehicle using the iDrive controller.
You have received an activation code that you must enter manually.
1. Format your USB drive as FAT32.
2. Extract the downloaded files directly to the root of the USB drive (without creating any subfolders).
3. Plug the USB drive into your vehicle's USB port — preferably the one located in the glove compartment if available.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions and enter the validation code provided above.

Installation procedure:
1. Format your USB drive as FAT32 (exFAT is also accepted).
2. Extract the downloaded files directly to the root of the USB drive (without creating any subfolders).
3. On the USB drive, create a folder called FSC at the root and place the FSC file inside it. (The folder name must be "FSC" in capital letters).
4. Plug the USB drive into your vehicle's USB port — preferably the one located in the glove compartment if available.
5. Start the update. Do not remove the key until the update is complete.
